About NYC Reiki Meetup

This group is for everyone who is interested in Reiki.
Our Reiki Meetups are interesting for all Reiki practioners of any style,
school, lineage, or level of training.
Each month we will be offering a different guided meditation,
as well as exchanging and sharing Reiki Treatments with each other.
We will also feature guest speakers who will feed our minds and our souls
with the most up to date healing modalities such as sound healing, Shamanic
Reiki, Spiritual Protection & Shamballa Multidimensional Healing Energy Work.

There will be Reiki Circles that are open to Practioners as well as Non-
practioners who are interested in experiencing a treatment, learning Reiki
for themselves, or are simply curious about what Reiki feels like.

We are very flexible & are here to support each other in our healing communities.
Send us your ideas and suggestions to make our Reiki Community the best it can be
for everyone's highest & greatest good!

• Reiki "Meet n'Greet" Meetups for socializing and networking (open to guests) - Location changes, See Calendar
  
• Reiki Practioner Exchange/Share in Brooklyn, Queens, & NYC (open to all levels, styles,& traditions of Reiki)
  
• Reiki Meetups with a Guest Speaker (open to guests) - occasionally
  
• "Messages" - a place for On-Line Members to network, offer their classes, their Reiki Circles, activities

  The gatherings vary between a Dinner Meetup, in a restaurant, and sometimes a Meet n' Greet in a free Salad Bar or Cafe. In addition, we have On-line members who can invite each other to their own Reiki Circles, their own Classes in addtion to attending the official Meetup Reiki Circles and Activities.
  
  Reiki is an ancient practice that has wonderful stress relieving effects. Some begin by learning Reiki Level 1 to use solely to benefit themselves. The practitioner can give themselves Reiki everyday or offer Reiki to their friends and family. You can also give Reiki to your pets, plants and food. You can use Reiki before entering the hospital or to add comfort to someone who is ill. Reiki can also be used for self-growth such as, a search for a new job, new apartment or new relationship. Upon becoming a Reiki Master, many practicioners feel a responsibility to continue Master Usui's values of help and service to others. Reiki is flexible and adaptable to almost any situation; and it is cumulative. The more it is practiced, the more it supports you.
  
  You may agree that we are living in tumultuous times. I believe that by sharing Reiki we can improve our individual lives and the consciousness of all people & living things on the earth for everyone. All levels and guests are welcome at our monthly networking meetups. If there is a fee, it is your donation to pay for the room rental fees. Rates sometimes vary, depending on the cost of the space rental.
  
  We have members from California, Australia, Israel all who want to network with each other. The more invitations and Reiki type activities posted on the Message Board the more our community meets each other and is connected. You can invite and join other activities even if you cannot attend the once-a-month meetup.
  
  We encourage you to participate by sending each other emails or posting on the MESSAGEs board. This is what creates community for yourself and results in new found friends. And of course, if you can attend in person, that is a wonderful place to get connected.

  Note [1]: Sometimes a snowstorm, subway strike or watermain flood emergency causes a gathering to be cancelled or location to be changed. Check your email and this website (message board) for last minute cancelations or changes in locations.

  Note [2]: There are many Members listing their classes, workshops and Reiki Circles on this website; however, the NY Reiki Meetup and it's Organizers cannot monitor, endorse or check-up on them. Our goal is to serve as a "Resource" for networking and creating Community. So please go ahead and send an email to any individual member and ask for their opinion or recommendation. Your organizers also welcome your inquiries. Thank you for your understanding.

  Note [3]: Some members tell me that I can be clearer about the Fees: "Appreciation Contribution" of $7 & up. To explain - the On-Line Website activities are FREE. So please use the Message Board, Files and Photos. However, when I rent a room for an activity such as a Guest Speaker, Lecture or Workshop, I collect money to pay for the Room Rental. I run the meetup out of my own pocket, and it can cost anywhere between $80-$150 per evening rental. Many members tell me that I should not put a financial burden on myself. They tell me that they get so much value that they would pay more than the suggested donation. Listening to the members is my top priority, so you can speak to me and arrange to pay any amount that reflects the value you receive. And, if you contribute less, please attend anyway.... Don't let the contribution stand in your way of attending! Thanks for understanding.
